The smartphone launched today joins the elite class of phones made especially for people who love to take selfies with the front snapper.
For this, the Oppo F1s has a 16-megapixel front facing camera with a front-facing flash. It comes protected with a Gorilla Glass 4 screen. It also comes loaded with a feature called beautify 4.0 to make selfies look even better. The camera is loaded with various kinds of filters and seven beautification modes. There is an auto screen flash as well.
The front snapper is reportedly very capable and can shoot brilliant self portraits in low-light as well.
Now its an unofficial rule that phones that are used for selfies should look good themselves. And Oppo doesn’t disappoint in this segment. The phone looks almost identical to its predecessor, the Oppo F1. But the edges are mildly curved, offering a pleasant grip. There’s a slim bezel, adding to the overall aesthetics of this phone. In fact, some may say that it looks like an iPhone ripoff.
Apart from the Gorilla Glass 4, the F1s comes with a pre-installed screen guard, protecting the main screen from scratches every time you drop the phone while taking selfies. (Stop kidding, you know that happens so often!)
There is also a fingerprint scanner, which Oppo claims, unlocks the phone in a mere 0.22 seconds. Unlock. Click. Share, all in a matter of few seconds.
There is also a 13-Megapixel rear camera with a rather large sensor and LED flash, pretty capable of taking good images, even in low-light.
Under the hood, the Oppo F1s is powered by the 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 eight-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The smartphone gets 32GB of onboard memory that is expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card.
The Oppo F1s has a 5.5-inch display with a 720p resolution and packs a 3075mAh battery. It also comes with the Chinese manufacturer’s proprietary Super VOOC fast-charging technology.
The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Oppo’s ColorOS UI.
